Getting Started
From signup to your first senior playing a game — about 10 minutes total. No special equipment beyond a computer and a webcam.
What you'll need
- A computer running Chrome (Windows, Mac, or ChromeOS)
- A standard webcam — built-in laptop camera is fine, USB webcam works too
- A monitor or TV at least 27" (32" or larger recommended for the training station)
- A center email address you can verify
- About 10 minutes
Step 1 — Create your account

- Go to cogame.ai/signup.
- Enter your center info: name, address, phone. This becomes your organization in Cogame.
- Enter your admin info: name, email, password. This is the staff account that will sign in.
- Click Start Free Trial. We send a verification email — click the link to activate your account.
Step 2 — Add your first senior

- On the training station, go to
/play(the "Who's playing today?" screen). - Tap the dashed + Add Senior card on the right side of the row.
- Fill in the form: first name, last name, birth year, gender, and accessibility (usable hand, dominant hand, mobility aid).

- (Optional) Pick an avatar (we use friendly cartoon avatars instead of real photos).
- (Optional) Set accessibility preferences: dominant hand, mobility aid, preferred difficulty. The platform adapts game positioning and judging based on these.
- Save. The new card appears in the row alongside the others.
This is the simplest workflow because staff are already on the station screen at session start. You can also add seniors from the admin dashboard at /admin/seniors — same form, just a different entry point. See the Admin Guide for bulk add and editing.
Step 3 — Set up the training station
The training station is the screen the senior plays on. Most centers use a TV connected to a PC, or an all-in-one touchscreen.

- Connect the PC to the TV via HDMI. Mirror or extend the display.
- Set resolution to 1920×1080.
- Position the webcam centered above or below the screen.
- Open Chrome and go to
https://cogame.ai/login. Sign in with your admin account. - Once signed in, navigate to
/play. Press F11 for fullscreen.
For a more detailed walkthrough including camera height and lighting, see the Training Station Setup guide.
Step 4 — Run a first session

- On the training station, the senior sees a profile selection screen. They tap their own avatar (or staff selects for them).
- They're shown the game library with 16 games organized by cognitive area.
- Pick a game (we recommend Memory Sequence as a first game).
- The game runs through a short tutorial, then starts the actual round.
- When done, results show up: stars, score, accuracy. The score syncs to your admin dashboard automatically.
Step 5 — Try voice mode
Some seniors find the camera-based games tiring, or simply prefer talking. Cogame includes a voice mode where the senior answers spoken questions instead of moving in front of a camera — useful for quieter sessions, low-mobility seniors, or as a warm-up.

- From
/play, tap the Voice button in the top bar. - Pick the senior's profile, then choose a voice activity.
- The senior answers out loud — Cogame transcribes responses and scores them the same way as camera games.
